Abstract

Objective To explore the nursing intervention methods and effects of Newman health system model to stroke patients combined with hypertension.Methods 90 cases of elderly stroke patients with hypertension were randomly divided into control group and observation group with 45 patients in each group,control group received routine care of stroke; observation group was given Newman health system model based on the conventional health care,then we compared the intervention of bad habits,hypertension control conditions and related knowledge in two groups.Results The number of patients with bad habits was significantly less than that of the control group,blood pressure control condition and the relevant knowledge mastery level were much better than those of control group,showing statistical significant difference,P < 0.05.Conclusion The application of Newman health system mode theory to elderly stroke patients with hypertension,can increase patients' awareness of the disease-related knowledge,change their bad habits,control the disease development and reduce the recurrence of stroke hypertensive diseases.
