Abstract

Management of chronic non healing wound is always a challenging problem to the treating surgeon. So many newer modalities are now available and all are under trial .Here we are comparing the effectiveness of vacuum assisted wound closure in management of chronic non healing wound. We found out its more effective in granulation tissue formation and to reduce the bacterial overload and also it considerably reduced the incidence of amputation rate also.
