Abstract

To investigate the effectiveness of extracurricular activity of evidence-based medicine on cultivating the clinical practice ability of medical students. Medical students were enrolled in the extracurricular activity to participate in a scientific research subject. The practice ability was assessed through skill evaluation and examination. Practice ability for the students who took part in the extracurricular activity was even higher than control group. The extracurricular activity of evidence-based medicine is helpful to improve the evidence based clinical practice ability of medical students. Further researches which focus on the teaching methods and participating approaches of extracurricular activity are needed.
