Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of google classroom-based digital teaching materials as a learning innovation in a pandemic period to improve students' digital literacy. The type of research method used is a quantitative method with pre and post-test design nonequivalent control group design. The sample used was 72 fourth semester students of Elementary School Teacher Education, Jakarta State University, selected by a simple random sampling technique. This study proves that the use of digital teaching materials based on google classroom has a significant value so that it is effectively used in improving students' digital literacy. By having digital literacy, students can process, assess, analyze, and evaluate the digital information they get wisely to avoid hoaxes or less valid information. This research's novelty includes digital teaching materials based on google classrooms developed by integrated researchers with digital literacy competencies such as internet searching, hypertextual navigation, content evaluation, and knowledge assembly. This study's results can provide contributions and solutions for teachers in this pandemic to always innovate to develop digital teaching materials that can improve students' quality and creativity.
