Abstract

The optimal plant development stages for controlling self-incompatibility and propagating lines by geitonogamous pollination of buds are revealed on inbred lines of Chinese cabbage of the pak choi varietal type. General combining ability is assessed by a complete diallel scheme of crosses of eight inbred lines and the most promising ones producing a high heterotic effect with respect to yielding ability, productivity, and clubroot resistance are identified.
