Abstract

Research into the effectiveness of antenatal eduation has considered both obstetric outcomes and the quality of the mother's childbirth experience without reaching any definite conclusions. There remains a need to identify more precisely both the clients' and the educators' agendas. A literature survey points to strategies for making classes more mother centred and a better source of health education.
