Abstract

Assess of nurses’ practice working in emergency Unit concerning hypovolemic shock. Find out the effectiveness of an education program on the emergency Unit nurses’ practice concerning hypovolemic shock. Find out is there relationship between nurses’ practice and their demographic characteristics such as (age, gender, level of education and years of experience). A quasi experimental study design was carried out at was conducted in baquba Teaching Hospital and Al-batool Teaching Hospital at Diyala city starting from (4 Th December 2017 to 4 Th April 2018). The present study aims at determine the Effectiveness of an education Program on nurses’ Practice concerning Hypovolemic Shock in Emergency Units. A Purposive (non-probability) sample of (40) nurses who have been actually working emergency ward. Reliability of instrument is determined through the use of test and retest and the instrument validity is determined through a panel of experts. The results of the study show that the effectiveness of educational program regarding nurse’s practices for management patient with hypovolemic shock. It also shows that there are highly significant differences in the study group between pre-test and post-tests in overall main domains related to nurses’ practice check list.
