Abstract
Introduction: While upper-class men had been taking care of themselves for centuries, this changed somewhat in the first half of the 20th century. And by the 1980s the cult of the body and the metrosexual man had emerged, with a marked upsurge in male cosmetic treatments. There was also an increased demand for treatment of wrinkles such as glabellar lines or nasolabial folds.
