Abstract

Solar power based on direct use of solar radiation requires effective solar heat collectors. Their efficiency depneds largely upon how completely the solar energy is absorbed, which in turn is determined by the color of the surface on which the radiation falls. New methods have been developed for production of resistant coatings on steel and galvanized tubes and sheets by a chromating method having better economical indices and lower power consumption in comparison with existing methods together with the capability of obtaining high quality coatings with good anticorrosion properties, low porosity, high cohesive strength of the film layer with the surface of the specimen, and a high capabvility for absorption of solar radiation : experimental results
