Abstract

We simulate the scattering of electromagnetic waves by a two-dimensional complex-shaped cavity, using the method of integral equations. The angular dependence of the monostatic effective scattering area (ESA) of a cavity with and without a radio-absorbing coating is calculated. The possible ways of reducing ESA for different positions of the absorbing coating in the cavity are analyzed.
