Abstract

Teacher burnout is a phenomenon that has ravaged the teaching profession over the years, drawing the attention of scholars from the education field. Due to its prevalence, numerous studies have been conducted to ascertain its causes, effects, and possible remedies. While there may not be a panacea for burnout, it is essential that continual research be undertaken to unearth more effective ways of tackling teacher burnout. Research has established that communication plays a significant role in impacting burnout. It is against this backdrop that the researcher aims to make a case for internal communication as a feasible solution to counteracting teacher burnout. In line with this purpose, this article reviews relevant literature on teacher burnout and internal communication, showing a connection between the two variables.
