Abstract

Introduction: Healthcare service is an essential determinant of population health. This qualitative case study aims to explore health service users’ perspectives of effective health services delivery and the current challenges affecting the management and delivery of health services at a primary healthcare facility in Madang Province, Papua New Guinea (PNG).

Introduction

Healthcare service is an essential determinant of population health. This qualitative case study aims to explore health service users’ perspectives of effective health services delivery and the current challenges affecting the management and delivery of health services at a primary healthcare facility in Madang Province, Papua New Guinea (PNG). Provision of effective healthcare service is an important component of good health outcomes. Harrington DW et al, [1] claim that patients who access regular health services have better healthcare outcomes. The provision of effective healthcare services that is accessible and affordable by the local community is important for better healthcare outcomes [6,7,8]
