Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical effection of TMJ upper cavity's irrigation to treat synovitis and articular capsulitis.Methods Forty-one cases with synovitis and articular capsulitis were irrigation with sahsolution through TMJ upper cavity and were injected with triamcinolone acetonide injection in the cavity.Clinical effection was observed after 6 months.Results Twenty-eight cases(68.3%)were effective;12 cases(29.3%)were improved and 1 case(2.4%)had no effection.Conclusions The use of TMJ upper cavity's irrigation and injection with triamcinolone acetonide injection for treatment of synovitis and articular capsulitis is effective.
