Effect study on gravity feed supplemented by non-nutritive sucking combined with touching treating feeding intolerance of very low birth weight infant

Abstract

Objective To study the effect of gravity feed supplemented by non-nutritive sucking combined with touching treating feeding intolerance of very low birth weight infant (VLBWI).Methods Eighty-four VLBWIS were divided into observation group and control group.In control group,42 infants were treated with conventional therapy.In observation group 42 infants were treated with conventional therapy and gravity feed combined with non-nutritive sucking and touching.Results There was significantly difference between the two groups on amount of milk,time of recovery birth weight,gastric residual volume,time of abdominal distension disappear and time of enteral nutrition up to 418.4 kJ/ (kg · d).Incidence of feeding intolerance was 16.7％ in observation group and 69.0％ in control group,and the difference had a statistical significance.Conclusions It't good in clinical effect on feeding intolerance of VLBWI to treat with gravity feed combined with non-nutritive sucking and touching.
