Abstract

Objective To study the intervention effect of telephone follow-up on the discharged patients with cardiac valve replacement. Methods 104 patients after heart valve replacement were randomly divided into observation group (52 cases) and control group (52 cases). Both two groups were received health education system and discharged guide in hospital, and the observation group was treated with telephone follow-up, and the compliance behavior of anticoagulant therapy and its complications were compared between two groups after one year. Results After one year, the compliance behavior of anticoagulant of the observation group is obviously better than the control group (P < 0. 01), and the incidence rate of complication is obviously lower than the control group (P < 0. 05). Conclusions Telephone follow-up can effectively meet the needs for health in the patients with heart valve replacement, improve treatment compliance and reduce complications.
