Abstract

Experimental analysis of surface plasmon resonance based fiber optic refractive index sensor using bi-layers of ITO-ZnO is presented. Outcomes of thicknesses of ITO and ZnO layers on the sensitivity of SPR sensor are experimentally studied. Sensitivity is found to be enhanced with increase in thickness of ZnO layer up to a certain thickness. 40 nm ITO-15 nm ZnO based fiber optic SPR sensor exhibits largest value of sensitivity.
