Abstract
The Er3+ / Yb3+ co-doped SrMoO4 phosphor were synthesized via solid state reaction method. X-ray diffraction studies on sintered powders indicated the formation of single phase tetragonal structure, and the lattice parameters are measured by Rietveld analysis using TOPAS software. A remarkable enhancement in upconversion (UC) emission intensity in the presence of Yb3+ sensitizer ion and the detailed mechanism in proposed UC emission is studied. The dynamics of up-conversion process, by recording the decay profiles is also studied.
