Abstract

This paper presents initial findings regarding the effect of upstream random height distributions on the surface pressures measured on a low rise structure. Results to date show that in general the larger the absolute value of mean surface pressure, the less the effect of changes in the upstream roughness height distribution. Similar results are obtained for the extreme pressures, however the data shows more scatter, and the analysis is not as complete.
