Control group was given the preoperation health education by the anesthetist including the use of PCA pump at the day before the surgery, and after operation, the duty nurse was in charge of the oral health guidance. The systematic and oral guidance of PCA of experimental group was given by nurse, and was given the health education materials and guided specially by researcher after surgery. The degree of pain at 6, 24, 36, 48 h after operation were evaluated. Results At 6, 24, 36, 48 h after operation, the pain rates of control group were obviously higher than those of experimental group ( P <0. 001) .
