Abstract

An association between clozapine treatment and elevated lipid serum levels has been consistently reported over years. Possible alterations on clozapine (CLZ) metabolism have only been addressed in vitro; findings implied a redistribution of CLZ following increased lipid levels. Aim of the study was to assess possible relations between lipid levels and pharmacokinetic parameters of CLZ in a naturalistic therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) sample.
