Abstract
The fungicide triadimefon was applied biweekly to actively growing Willamette red raspberry primocanes at rates of 0, 0.28 and 0.56 kg/ha. The treated canes were thinner and shorter than the controls, with shortened petioles and reduced leaf area. Total number of nodes per cane was unaffected by the sprays, but after cane heading the treated plants had greater numbers of nodes, and greater numbers of fruiting laterals the following season. Decreased productivity per lateral balanced the increase in lateral number to produce no net effect of triadimefon on overall yields. Treated plots ripened earlier.
