Abstract
The mechanical properties of ordinary and vacuum-smelted steels subjected to thermomechanical and thermal treatments were studied. It was shown that the long-term strength of freshly-quenched Fe-Ni-C alloy is affected by thermomechanical treatment. Comparative data were obtained on the fatigue strength of three steels with different carbon contents after thermal and thermomechanical treatments.
