Abstract

In this paperthe combined influence of chemical reaction, thermo diffusion and dissipation on convective heat and mass transfer flow of a Kuvshinski fluid past a vertical plate embedded in a porous medium is discussed. The equations governing the flow, heat and mass transfer have been solved by a regular perturbation technique. The effect of chemical reaction parameter (K), thermo-diffusion parameter (Sr), Eckert number (Ec), heat source parameter () and time (t) on the velocity, temperature and concentration distributions are discussed. It is observed that the temperature and concentration reduces with increase in the strength of the heat source parameter where as the velocity depreciates with increase in heat source parameter. In the presence of Ec, it is observe that higher the dissipative heat smaller the velocity, temperature, and concentration in the flow field and we notice an enhancement in the case of time (t).
