Abstract

Sherby’s law is used in present study to calculate effect of impressive linear thermal gradient on secondary stage of deformation behaviour of rotating composite disk. Mathematical model is used to explain the steady state deformation behaviour inside the rotating isotropic composite disk in presence of linear thermal gradient along radial as well as tangential direction. The deformation that occurs due to long period of time in the composite disk with constant temperature has been compared with thermal graded disk using MATLAB. The effect of creep is reduced in the presence of thermal gradient.
