Abstract

1. The resistance of Kh16N5D3 steel to plastic strain under a two-dimensional stress can be described, in the case of an isotropie body, when σ1 > σ2 by the Von Mises criterion and when σ1 < σ2 by the Saint-Venant criterion. 2. There is a linear relationship between the arbitrary yield point and the physical widening of x-ray interference fringes of martensite at various levels of strain hardening. 3. The type of stress affects the development of strain aging and has practically no effect (with the exception of n=0.5) on the uniform plasticity or on the microstructure of steel in the fracture zone.
