Abstract

In-vivo exposure of L. acuminata to a synthetic pyrethroid indicates that it significantly alters the acetylcholinesterase, cytochrome oxidase, succinic dehydrogenase and lactic dehydrogenase activity in the nervous tissue of snails. In-vitro exposure showed that except for cytochrome oxidase and lactic dehydrogenase activity, no significant changes were observed in acetylcholinesterase activity and succinic dehydrogenase activity in the nervous tissue of L. acuminata.
