Abstract
The structure and the strength properties of the AMg6 aluminum alloy–12Kh18N10T steel bimetal formed by hot isostatic pressing under various conditions of preparing the contact surfaces of the materials to be joined and various connection media have been investigated. The maximum tensile strength (196 MPa) is reached upon scraping the aluminum components and the presence of a steel surface relief. The maximum bending strength (329 MPa) is reached upon scraping the aluminum components and the absence of steel surface relief.
