Abstract

The effect of the addition of metal salts and their complexes on the structure, porosity, and stability of MCM-41, added to the reaction mixture or during removal of the template from the mesophases after synthesis, was investigated. It was established that additions of inorganic salts reduce the compression of the structure during thermal removal of the template. The relation between the compression effect and the hydrolytic stability of MCM-41 is examined.
