Abstract

As was shown in [2, 3], the error of measurement of n by differential refractometry is due to varying absorption of light over the width of the light beam, passing through the differential cell. The complexity of the expression for absolute error, derived in [2], makes it difficult to use for practical purposes. Going over to relative values enables one to simplify the formula for the error, which after reduction to the range of measurement of Anma x is determined by the expression
