Abstract

1. For austenitic-martensitic stainless steels the imperfect elasticity depends on the elastic limit and the method by which martensite is obtained. 2. The smallest values of hysteresis and the direct elastic after effect were obtained in the case where the martensitic transformation was intensified by cold plastic deformation after quenching rather than high-temperature tempering. 3. The relaxation resistance of austenitic-martensitic steels is highest after thermomechanical treatment.
