Abstract

The dependence of phase structure on composition was investigated for two types of polypropylene/ethylene-propylene elastomer blends differing in rheological properties of the components. It was found that neither the empirical rule regarding the effect of the ratio of viscosities of the components on the ratio of their volume fractions at which the inversion of phases takes place nor Van Oene's theory regarding the effect of elastic properties of the components on phase structure of the blend is generally valid.
