Abstract

Abstract. Lekatompessy SJR, Nurjanah L. 2019. Effect of the combination of biological and organic fertilizers on upland rice plants. Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 5: 222-227. Research on combination of biofertilizers and organic fertilizers on upland rice plants was conducted at the Research Center for Biotechnology-LIPI. Observations were made including the upper and lower dry biomass of plants, panicle biomass, number of panicles, presentation of mycorrhizae infections that occurred. The aim of the study was to see the effect of the combination of organic fertilizer and biofertilizer (mycorrhizae and other potential microbes (Azospirillum sp. and Agrobacterium sp.)) On upland rice growth. The results showed a combination of giving biofertilizer and organic fertilizer (50%) better than 25% organic fertilizer combination, but the control of 100% organic fertilizer was still higher than all treatments and as a biofertilizer control 100% seemed incompatible with upland rice plants. It is expected that with a combination of biofertilizers and organic fertilizers on upland rice plants can change the use of 100% chemical fertilizer even though the results of this study have not achieved maximum results and need further research.
