Abstract
The effect of the oxidant composition on the detonation parameters of emulsion explosive sensitized by hollow microspheres was studied. It is shown that the replacement of part of ammonium nitrate by metal nitrates leads to a decrease in the detonation velocity at the same density of explosive. Qualitative changes in the structure of the detonation wave reaction zone were not detected. The best correlation between the results of calculations given in the literature and experimental data on the determination of the dependence of the detonation velocity on density obtained in this work is observed when the Becker–Kistiakowsky–Wilson (BKW) equation of state with a set of RDX coefficients is used.
