Abstract

Investigation has been performed of changes in the degree of long-range order (LRO) upon annealing in a temperature range of 1000–1150°C for 1 h in the cubic B2 phase of the Ti-28.2% Al-13.2% Nb-1.2% Zr-0.86% Mo alloy. The calculation carried out using X-ray diffraction data showed that the degree of LRO in the B2 phase in the three-phase field (O + α2 + B2, T = 1000°C) is 0.36. Structure of the B2-phase regions with a low degree of LRO was studied using transmission electron microscopy. Temperature ranges suitable for thermomechanical treatment of the alloy have been determined.
