Effect of the amount and dispersity of hard-to-dissolve particles on austenite grain size in steel with 0.6% C

Abstract

We propose steels with additions of vanadium or niobium to ensure a fine austenite grain size (grade 13–14) heated at moderate rates (20–60 deg/sec) to 1050° with isothermal holding (at 950°) for 5–6 min.
