Abstract
The structural changes of glassy methanolic LiCl solutions induced by the addition of an organic solvent were investigated by Raman spectroscopy. Two sharp peaks in the Raman OH stretching spectrum are greatly perturbed by the second organic solvent and the low-wavenumber region regains its intensity to some extent. These structural changes are correlated with the donor number of the second organic solvent and a possible mechanism is presented.
