Abstract

1. The addition of acetylene to synthesis gas leads to an increase in the yield of liquid hydrocarbons and decrease in methane formation. 2. The hydrocarbon yield increases with increasing acetylene concentration in the synthesis gas, while the carbon monoxide conversion and yields of methane and CO2 are reduced. 3. A thermal desorption study showed that acetylene partially eliminates the carbon monoxide adsorbed on the catalyst.
