Abstract

The authors studied the crack resistance of the heat-resistant steel 15Kh2MFA (0.18 wt. % C; 0.27 Si; 0.475 Mn; 2.58 Cr; 0.16 Ni; 0.62 Mo; 0.3 V; 0.019 S; 0.013 P; 0.11 wt. % Ti), in two states. The plastic state (annealing at 973/sup 0/K), corresponded to its structural state at the beginning of the service (15Kh2MFA steel). The embrittled state (annealing at 893/sup 0/K), simulated the 15Kh2MFA steel at the end of the service period of the structure (15Kh2MFA steel). The heat-treatment conditions and mechanical properties on short-term tensile tests are given.
