An interested reader drew to the attention of the Editorial Board of Experimental and Medical Therapeutics that many of the data in the above paper had already been published in a previous study [Kim MY, Farnebo S, Woon CY, Schmitt T, Pham H and Chang J: “Augmentation of tendon healing with an injectable tendon hydrogel in a rat Achilles tendon model”
The Editorial Board was able to confirm that the data in question did appear previously in the Plast Reconstr Surg paper; the Editorial Board has decided that the article should be retracted
The Editor apologizes to the readership of the Journal for any inconvenience caused
