Abstract

This paper presents and discusses the theoretical and experimental results of the associated effects of temperature rise on the performance of the induction motor. These effects are theoretically studied, in which a model for the induction motor is developed by using MATLAB program. The model adopted is involving the electrical, mechanical, and thermal effects of the induction motor. Simulation results was carried out on the induction motor to predict the effects of the temperature rise on the stator resistance, stator and rotor current, rotor speed, stator flux, and stator and rotor copper losses.
