Abstract

In this paper, we study the effect of temperature and time of annealing on the structural-phase state and tribomechanical properties of Ni–Cr–Al (40%–10%–50%)-based coatings deposited by the high-speed metallization method. The annealing of the coatings is shown to lead to the precipitation of intermetallic phases NiAl, Ni2Al3, Ni3Al, and Al3Ni, an increase in the hardness and wear resistance of the coatings, and an increase in their porosity. We developed a mathematical model that describes the dependence of the intensity of mass wear of coatings during friction without lubricant on the temperature and time of annealing. The maximal wear resistance of coatings was established after annealing at 630–640°C and an exposure time of 40–50 min.
