Abstract

The influence of thermal treatments and reduction process on the activity of Fe/Cr catalysts was studied. The temperature-programmed reduction method was used in the study of the catalyst activation by various reducing mixtures. Process and hydrogen gas seem to be the most adequate reducing agents. Temperature and water vapour affect the textural properties of the Fe/Cr catalysts with a decrease in the specific surface area and the catalytic activity.
