Abstract

The colour stability of the red pigment of Hibiscus sabdariffa linn was determined by dyeing various concentrations of the solution at a temperature of 313K, 318K, 323K & 328K with a cotton and polyester fiber and the various absorbance were determined. The percentage were calculated, which ranges from 15.35% to 66.14%. this shows that Hibiscus sabdariffa linn can be better dye in cotton fibre than in polyester fibre
