Introduction

Malaria has remained a major public health challenge worldwide especially in the tropical parts of Africa.[1,2] It is an infectious disease caused by Plasmodium species and is characterized by fever, headache, sweating, anaemia, occasional seizures, and other related symptoms.[3]. Its symptoms may include pale skin, fatigue, weakness, breathlessness, frequent headache and others.[6]
