Abstract

Gas hydrates are a special state of matter because of their properties to concentrate significant volumes of gas in themselves. Different hydrate forming gases have different thermobaric regions of existence. These properties of gas hydrates create a prospect for developing promising industrial technologies for their synthesis and dissociation. This paper reflects the effects of surface-active substances (surfactants) on the synthesis of gas hydrates. The main types of surfactants and their influence on the hydrate formation process are shown.
