Abstract

Using anionic surfactant sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate (SDBS), cationic surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and nonionic surfactant glyceryl monostearate (monostearin) respectively, Ca3(VO4)2:Bi, Eu3+ red phosphors were prepared by a facile reaction chemistry method and their morphology, structure and luminescent properties were investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and fluorescence spectrometer. The results showed that the introduction of surfactants not only greatly influenced their morphology, but also induced a remarkable change value of I615/I592. The reason that causes the variation of these properties for Ca3(VO4)2:Bi, Eu3+ red phosphors was concluded to be related to different surfactants.
