Abstract

Several kinds of ions were substituted into perovskite-type BaPb1-xBixO3 (BPB), and the changes thereby brought about in electrical and superconducting properties have been studied. For B site substitution, only Bi is effective to bring about superconductivity with Tc above 3 K. Meanwhile, Cs, Rb and Sr were substituted into A site. These resulted in a reduction in lattice constants, accompanied by a decrease in Tc, when the substitution amount exceeded about 10% of A site ions.
