Abstract

Sedimentation velocity of starch was determined at three different pH in the presence of streptavidin functionalised Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticle. In the first step, the streptavidin functionalised Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticle was synthesised and characterised by various analytical techniques like Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) method, vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis. The role of streptavidin functionalised Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticles on the sedimentation velocity of starch was studied and the results were critically compared. The role of nanomaterial on the structure-property relationship of starch was elucidated with the help of FTIR, SEM and VSM like techniques.
