Abstract

The contribution from hyperons and K-mesons to nucleon magnetic moment is calculated in the non-relativistic limit to the second order in the coupling constant. The Hamiltonian chosen corresponds to the derivative coupling of the pseudo-scalar K-meson with a fixed extended source. To fit with the existing experimental results for neutron magnetic moment a lower limit to the N-π coupling is suggested. Also the N-K-ΛΣ coupling is found here to be much smaller than the N-π coupling.
