Abstract

Abstract The effect of strain path on the restoration and final microstructures of deformed metals has been far less explored than the effect of changes in other variables. This paper shows that deforming imterstitial free austenite in cyclic torsion leads to lower work hardening and milder grain refinement than in monotonic torsion.
